Here's one of the Howie Post issues.  Post's work reminds me of Walt Kelly's.

You've inspired me to buy a copy of this book I saw earlier in the week! I don't have it in hand yet but am looking forward to reading it! Well, reading the REST of it, as I got a head start already, for my copy isn't encumbered with having a pesky cover to prevent me from seeing the splash page already! Hey, for less than $35, where can I find a BETTER reading copy?  (shrug)

To each their own. The later issues are indeed rare and do have a charm but once Superboy and his second rate crew took over, the title just tanked for me. The Spectre, Dr. Fate, Aquaman and even the Arrow ones were just Awsome cover to cover reads. All More Funs have always been hard to find and expensive. I very rarely have a chance to add any to my collection.

Yup, to each their own is the best attitude! A box for every book I say!  (thumbsu

Wow you aren't kidding.  I think more than half Church copies!!!  My favorites would be the 35 in 9.4, 53 in 9.6 Rockford, 64 in 9.6 Church, and of course the 42 double cover Church in 9.2/9/.6!!

Insane set! I’m sure it wasn’t built over night. Congratulations.

I was lucky enough to get this Larson copy recently.  Looks nice in reholdered gold label. Hard to believe these books were just sitting in Larson’s family barn. The colors are just incredible on this More Fun Comics #64.

Nice snag. We must be brothers from another mother. The Spectre and Mr Justice…:x

One thing to note, is that might be a Nova Scotia pedigree...however based on my experience you would have a very tough time convincing CGC to recognize it so hopefully the bidders were not banking on that (I have other More Fun books from this era that have similar 'm' marking on the cover and none of them were recognized by CGC as pedigree even when I asked them to regrade and take another look)

once again I find myself super pleased that I bit the bullet and 'settled' for a cheap restored copy three years ago...cost me less than half the price that demolished raw copy sold for today :D

Johnny Quick!!  I love that space pattern top right of the image...  pre-Kirby Crackle!!

That crackle is so very sweet, and puts this cover up there as perhaps one of the most iconic of the series...and that's saying lots since basically any of the full-helmet Fate covers can be argued to be some of the best of the run. :D

I imagine that'll press into something nice.  It looks like all the paper is still there.  Conservation!

That is what I'm assuming the bidders are hoping for, I did something similar two years ago when I bought up this #69 and had it conserved, though that still cost a few hundred bucks to do so and I can't see that #71 going above a 2.5 at most as well (which makes the above sold price still crazy, as at least in my case I bought it for cheap so the cost of conservation was still within budget)

I took a stab at that one but got blown out. For a moment, I even considered that wretched 53. MF 52 and 53 are two of my favorite GA DCs. But then I noticed who was selling it and hard to say, it was even too beat for me.
