Digital comics

Hi,

Newbie here with a few questions.  Does peeling the stickers (the ones with digital codes) off Marvel comics lessen the value of the comic, or can it be done in such a way so that it doesn't really affect it?

I'm interested in bartering for some of the digital codes.  Is there any market for that sort of thing on these boards or should I be looking elsewhere?

Thank you

I believe that CGC does not downgrade a comic missing the digital code sticker unless it is a 9.9 or 10.0 so you should still be able to attain 9.8 w/o the digital code sticker. Voldy will cap the grade at 9.6 w/o a digital sticker. PGX won't even notice if the page with the digital code is missing. (:

The only market for digital codes that I've seen is eBay (which may be against the rules) and direct seller to buyer over established relationships via social media.

Personally, I prefer books in my collection to have the codes even if they are expired. If I find one that is missing the sticker, I sell it and get another copy even though they would both grade out at 9.4.

I appreciate the insight on the grading, thanks for the info!

I'd imagine that ebay sellers would only be after the $, so it would be hard to barter with them.  And the 1 or 2 facebook sites I've seen are all interested in selling the printed copies.

If it were up to me, I'd keep 1 sealed with the sticker untouched and a 2nd copy to read digitally or in hand.
