:whatthe: What happened?  Looks like they shipped it to the wrong country (Germany) and it was denied.  Have you called them?  I had something like this happen within the US and was able to talk to someone who walked me through what had happened.  Hopefully all is well!

The sellar has been really good and chasing this and contacted them.  Hopefully it's on the way to the correct country this time :wishluck:

I’m going through this with two first class envelopes. One to Ukraine and one to Mexico. Both are for eBay and have disappeared after the Chicago customs stop. 

Since I didn’t have full tracking, I will be bent over a barrel. Mine haven’t been out as long as yours, but it’s been over a month.

International shipping seems to be very wonky lately.  Took my 2 weeks to get a MO from a Canadian buyer and one of my buyers just e-mailed me and said they had not received a package that i shipped 10 days ago (First Class).

USPS states that Int'l shipping is 95% effective (first class) which leaves ALOT of packages in limbo. I think is more like 75%. Some areas of the world are better and easier to ship to, but any package for any reason (even priority) can and will be missing for good not matter where you ship! I use priority for higher value books and get insurance. With the new tariffs coming into play, many countries are probably ditching US mail orders or just confiscating them overall. (posts from Ebay/Amazon boards). Ukraine and Mexico  :facepalm: hope it's not high dollar.

Not sure about Ukraine and Mexico, but when shipping to the UK using USPS, you can track on the UK side with https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item#/

Maybe there is something similar  for those countries ?

The guy in Ukraine is a repeat buyer. He tracked it, and I can track it to Chicago. Then it vanished. Next, I'm going to see it show up on a rerun of In Search Of.

i recommend DHL for international shipments from usa. make an account on prostarparcel.com and you can do it through there at a discount. much much faster and packages do not disappear. im done dealing with usps bull*$#* on international shipments. waste of time, money and energy.

DHL is much more costly in many cases but they get your packages through customs in about a day vs. 1st class which can take months in some countries.

Years ago I was on a collectibles site that where the members did a lot of trading. It was a small site and the members were good so the scam rate was very low. I agreed on a simultaneous trade with a guy from the Philippines. The package he sent to me arrived fairly quickly. My package to him vanished for three months and then one day finally arrived at his location. To this day, I have no idea where it went for that 90 day period. I had given it up for gone.
