Since the grading guide doesn’t cover someone decorated the logo- I wanted some opinions. The book can definitely use a clean but not sure if it is worth doing if the writing will drop it to far. So please grade my ff 48!

Thanks

I'd go with 3.0, at that grade decorating the cover might not matter much, but since it would be considered "excessive", then perhaps 2.5 is not out of range....

I'd say 3.5 without the writing, so take my estimates of writing bringing it lower with a grain of salt....

I had a book that someone had done some math in pen on, and also had used crayon.... it got a 2.5, so 3.0 doesn't sound to out there to me....

On a brighter note, it looks like white-pages or at least OW to W.... so you have that going for it :foryou:

Congrats on the book :)

Thanks and thanks for the opinion... the book is going bonkers so I wanted to grab one while i could... as long as it comes in 2.5 or Up I feel I did well with the price i Paid.

In the general condition of the book as it is, I don't think that sort of scribbling is going to affect it much. I would say a 3.0 but if you get lucky could be a 3.5. :)

I agree, Harry. This is probably a case of a CGC technical grade of 2.5 or 3.0 based on wear, the writing detrimental to eye appeal, but not affecting the technical grade much, since that's low to begin with.

But with those stripes, the potential pool of bidders for it will be limited thus inhibiting the price somewhat below that of the average 3.0.
