For me, Sienkiewicz was one of the top 2 80s cover artists.  But, it wasn't just the "black" covers, as coos as they were.  He also did a great red:

The other great cover artist of the 1980s was Michael Golden.  If he could make me buy a comic like ROM, with some of the worst interior art ever, than he was a pretty damn good cover artist:

FYI, there's an EC original art exhibition coming up at the Society of Illustrators in NYC (it starts Sep. 5 and runs through Oct. 27). This cover, among others, will be on display.  Any EC fans going to NYCC next month should make time to check it out!

The way I see it is this...

1. Some people are quite pathetic and petty and may have developed a dislike for someone's persona, for whatever reason...and they won't like your post no matter how valid or worthwhile. That's just the way some karma jockeys roll.

2. There are only so many likes you get in a day...I think it's 10 but not sure, so that may be a factor.

3. Some people just can't be arsed.

I got the dates wrong - the exhibition starts tomorrow and runs through Oct. 27.  This encompasses the dates of the NYCC next month.

Still can't spell his name but his work on the first Moon Knight is incredible. The books you posted show why.
