It would be great if the original three "canon" seasons came to blu-ray.

Those first three original seasons of Scooby Doo are like those first 50 issues of Amazing Spider-Man as just timeless classics.

All the original “movies” series from 1972-73 not being available is painful too. I’m denied revisiting the Scooby Doo/Josie and the Pussycats crossover episode due to rights issues.:pullhair:

You think Warner Bros would release them as Scooby is a cash cow and one of the most iconic characters ever created.

Thanks for the heads up. I am headed to the post office tommorrow so when I am there I will ask about them.

They were released back in July so if they aren’t available there you can order them from the USPS online. The “hot” release now is this one which happens to another collecting field of mine...

There’s a total of 24 episodes (2 seasons) but 9 have never been released due to rights issues. The WB tried to do a complete set when they released the series on DVD years ago but were unsuccessful. Like many series stuck in rights hell I’m always hoping something gives.

I’ll continue the cartoon theme with some Josie. I have her “other” first appearance in Madhouse #23 but since she’s not on the cover I think it’s less iconic for collectors.

This issue beat Madhouse #23 by 1 week (depending on where you lived) but it’s generally accepted as a “tie” between the 2 books for first appearance. IMO you need both.

#45 is now famous for the title/format change along with the first Valerie appearance.

#46 is actually the first time you see the Pussycats in costume on a cover though.

There’s more iconic covers in their run but these are the ones collectors chase first.

Back in the 60's there used to be lots of stores that had a small Hot Wheels display at or near the checkout …. my Mom hated those, but I did get her to cave from time to time :cloud9: GOD BLESS...
