He had a stroke a few years ago.  I believe he lost some control over his right side.  It wouldn't surprise me if it had something to do with it.

This is really sad.  I know Norm had a stroke several years back.  I never met him in person but we emailed back and forth over the years.  He was an incredibly nice individual and extremely humble.  I love his work and he will be greatly missed.  I have been extremely fortunate to acquire two of his covers which are even more special now.

So sad. Back in the early '90's I was a big fan of Malibu's Ultraverse comics, and Prime was a great one because of him! RIP

One of my favourite artists during the 80s and 90s.

Loved his work on Batman, although I have most of his books from Metaphysique through to Prime.

Saddening.

This was the worst news to wake up to this morning....

I will always remember him for his introduction to the Tim Drake as the new Robin, Anarchy and his work on Batman including Knightfall. 

A great blessing to have been around to witness and see his work. Now I am definitely going to have to his "Legends of the Dark Knight" collected work.

How sad.  For me THE Batman artists were Adams, Breyfogle and Bolland.

He did several of my favorite Batman covers, but I think this is my all time...

One of my favourite Batman artists of all time. He was doing Detective in the era where Batman just took off around the first dark Batman movie in 1989. His work captured the action I would have expected from a fighting Batman.

Still trying to wrap my head around this, but on top of his great work on Batman, Whisper, Spectre, Prime, etc., Metaphysique 1-2 was mind-blowing to me when it came out. I wish I'd had a chance to meet him. You could really tell he poured heart and soul into that.
