Hell-Rider #1

NM 9.4 (:whatthe::whatthe::whatthe::whatthe::whatthe::whatthe::whatthe::whatthe::whatthe::whatthe::whatthe::whatthe::whatthe::whatthe::whatthe::whatthe:)

$200  -> $275 (I WILL NOT be sad if this doesn't sell...I figure this may be a perfect slab and hold candidate)

  • Raising the price on this.  Think I probably had it lower than I would have been happy with.  May pull this book.

Okay.  So this book is severely under rated.  It contains the 1st in the History of comic books African American Female Super-Herione  Enter The Butterfly.

When was Ghost Rider's First Appearance? 8/1972 in Marvel Spotlight.  Fast forward 1 full year to August 1971 and find the First Ever MotorCycle Super-Hero (Hell-Rider) :preach:

Inside you will find Drug Use, Sex, Crazy Biker Gangs, 1st ever African American Super-Herione.

“Friedrich's other work includes writing for the Skywald line of black-and-white horror-comics magazines. For that company he created Hell-Rider – a Vietnam-vet vigilante motorcyclist with a flame-thrower-equipped bike – in a namesake two-issue series (July–Aug. to Sept.-Oct. 1971).[8][20] The following year, Friedrich worked with Thomas on the similarly motorcycle-mounted Ghost Rider.[3]

I fell asleep in my chair at my computer mere moments before that amazing Crime Does Not Pay Oct issue. Would have loved to get that!

There was a glitch in the matrix.  There was a wrinkle in time. There was a butterfly before the tsunami.   There was a nap before the most disgustingly epic Crime Book was posted in....The Harvest of Horrors! :insane:

That book is on my bucket list too but I’m spoiled by actually seeing a HG copy of one so I’m holding out for now although that copy was super tempting.

I just assumed that Artboy already had a copy by his silence and never assumed any foul play by sleep was afoot.

Honestly was not planning to do the same discount theme as previous years.

I figured it would make more sense to do it up front (see below from the 1st page); and reward those who were taking the plunge early.

As the years go on; the new stuff I list is the stuff I'm most hesitant to let go of... :sorry:

But, like the seasons harvests are required else crops wilt.

I am going to change my format a bit around discounts just to keep me sane in my accounting.

This year I am offering the following Discount Tiers for all right off the bat up until the end:

DISCOUNTS

  • Spend $200 and take 10% OFF SUBTOTAL
  • Spend $500 and take 15% OFF SUBTOTAL
  • Spend $1,000+ and take 20% OFF SUBTOTAL

Tales of the Zombie #10

VF- 7.5 (has some staining to back cover top edge.

$60

Infamously difficult final issue of this TOTZ run.

This book for some reason is much more difficult to acquire; especially in any sort of decent shape.

I feel that the Print Run may have been low or distribution spotty.  Not sure.  But certainly feels that way from a lot of experience.
