INTIMATE CONFESSIONS #1 in 1.8. Classic cover. Eye appeal is strong but pages are slightly brittle with chips and rounding at corners. The book is supple overall and with reasonable care it can be read without any damage. Uncommon in any grade.

DEAR LONELY HEARTS #4, #7 & #8, avg 2.0/2.5. If you're like me... and I fear you just might be... the sleazier 1950s romance books hold a certain perverse fascination, and the Comic Media titles circa 1953-1954 were at the top of the trash heap. Some wild stories scattered through these issues, such as:

"First Night On The Farm!" A young woman from the city finally meets a 'sensitive gentleman farmer' she's been corresponding with, only to find he's a sexual predator eager to get to know her in all the wrong ways! Really lurid stuff.

"Heartache Into Horror!" A young woman is menaced by a serial killer, who may or may not be her boyfriend.

"Unwed Mother!" Very risqué subject matter for the times.

"Young In Heart!" A young woman's older boyfriend is seduced by her mom!

These books have become tough to find and sell well on ebay. This trio averages Good/Good+...low-grade reading copies as shown, all with nice pages.

$150  $125 / set of 3

Jon, if you are serious? Because I KNOW you know more about comics than I do;)

HRN= High Resale Number. It's  the way to figure out when the book was issued, since many reprints were done. It's the last issue number you see when you see the list of Classics that were  listed usually on the back, or inside the back cover (rarely inside the front cover) and if you look it up in Overstreet you can figure out the date of issue and how many reprints of the same book were issued before.

If there isn't a list of comics and issue #''s, it's probably a first edition (or you didn't look closely enough;)

I had tons of Classics once upon a time when I was buying books from that distributor warehouse.
