So im trying to figure out the best road to go down, buying slabbed 9.6 roughly 100 or buying this one here at about 30-35 plus cgc fees and trying to shoot for a 9.8 Though I am still very new at the grading I wanted to get opinions as to possible land. I am kinda worried about one corner. the back spine end. Aside from that the book appears to be in great shape.

The 2 spine corners are slightly rounded.  That alone keeps this books out of 9.6 and 9.8 territory.  Additionally, it looks like there's some very light staining or foxing on the upper back cover and by the upper staple.

Agreed. Nice book, but not 9.8

When it comes to acquiring a 9.8 always go with your gut. If you see something that "might" keep it from that grade then it probably will.

To hard to submit for a 9.8 ,,, too risky ? better off buying one already graded
