Question about purchase of graded comics

Hi I just spoke to someone with regards of purchasing a graded signed comic and was wondering is there anything I should be on the look out for before completing the transaction/inspecting the item.  The item is a cgc signature series 9.6 x men 101.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you very much.

You can look for newton rings (where it looks like the comic sticks to the casing), or scratches or marks on the case.  You can look for alignment issues, page quality, etc.  Make sure you like the way the signature looks (very subjective).  In some rare cases the comic might shifted inside the case.  But any or all of those things may or may not be deal breakers for you.  Its really up to you to decide what's important and what justifies or doesn't justify the price.

good luck

I just got a X-men 134 and I’m not sure if it is a 9.4.  If anyone can help it would be appreciated.  Also the seller I would be meeting in person so I’m not sure about his return policies for the other comic I’m buying. imageproxy.php?img=&key=31b352271b3a5a4bimageproxy.php?img=&key=31b352271b3a5a4bimageproxy.php?img=&key=31b352271b3a5a4b

I’ll guessing most people don’t allow returns for slabs bought in person

maybe some stores do

Well, it's a 9.4 because the label says it's a 9.4. I'm assuming you are questioning the grade because of that chip in the bottom left corner. CGC probably considered it bindery and let it slide. Personally, the chip would bother me in a high grade. Not sure why you bought it if you didn't like the looks of it.(shrug)
