It depends on how well the person signing the book handles it. If they're careful, it should receive the same grade. If not, I've seen 9.8s get degraded to 9.4s because of this (usually multiple signatures, though).

There are certain artists known to be a little rough on comics. Whose signature are you looking to get?

Slim. High. If you like it, leave it where it is, hunt down a NM/M raw and pray that it comes back 9.8 after careful handling.

I'm not sure why you would even risk it . Even the slightest handling, a hint of a fingerprint, could downgrade it. The risk reward is not there. Crazy even to consider it.

id rather grade a new raw copy then risk ruining a near perfect 9.9 only book id ever reslab is my avengers 9.2 that could use some more sigs
