CRIME SUSPENSTORIES #17
Grade: 8.0 VF
Price: $500

JUN 1953. Apparent 8.0; color touch middle spine, glue lower staple. Yeesh, comic book covers don't get any more graphic than a man shooting himself in the head on the cover -- that's pre-Code comicdom for you! As for the content of the issue, how does an Al Williamson/Frank Frazetta team-up (with two sultry female characters in key roles, we might add) strike you? The other artists in the issue are Bill Elder, Jack Kamen, and Johnny Craig (who also drew the cover).

CRIME SUSPENSTORIES #20
Grade: 1.0 FR
Price: $350

DEC 1953; Indelibly etched in the minds of collectors, this cover by Johnny Craig will always be considered a classic. Used in Seduction of the Innocent by Dr. Frederick Wertham, this is generally considered one of the most egregious examples of over-the-top 50s horror. 12 inches of vintage tape on spine, no missing pages.

One of the best(if not THE best Joker covers), and that's a great price for a blue label.
