I know that they are all British reprints however I thought that you might enjoy having a look at what got most if not all U.K members our start in comics. These are from 1967 and it is a sister publication to Fantastic comic another great run of comics (I have a full set of those), enjoy. THEY'RE TERRIFIC!!!!!!!!!
