Well, the delivery guy must have come at 7:59.59pm, because I had zero idea there was a package out front until this morning. It was soaked, but due to the awesome packaging skills of the person who sent it, the books inside were dry, clean, and wrapped in enough bubble wrap to keep my cats entertained for days. First up, a Venom: Lethal Protector #1 custom painted cover by Kyle Willis featuring Knull. I'm adding it to the LP#1 cover swipe collection. Popular Post Frederic9494 Posted September 22, 2020 Popular Post Share Posted September 22, 2020 After actively looking for 3 years, I finally was able put my hands on the toughest Smurfs comic book of all : Spirou 1107 (July 1959) with the uncut first solo Smurfs story that came as a loose supplement. (Smurfs initially appeared as supporting characters in Johan & Peewit, a medieval fantasy comic book) Kids were instructed to cut and staple it into a mini comic book. This operation included cutting the back cover of the magazine where the cover of the mini comic is printed. Very few intact copies have survived... Of note to US collectors, this story "Les Schtroumpfs Noirs" ("The Black Smurfs") is a zombie-like story that was renamed (and recolored!) I've been looking for one I can afford - saw this one on his site but it was out of my range. The wrap on this is perfect! Maybe it was some twisted strength training? Like if I can fight with two pairs of pants and do well, on the days I have one pair I will really feel agile. Clearly fighting Ras was a day for one pair...or maybe he knew he couldn't beat him so rather than be nude in the desert, he held some dignity. Clearly Ra's had no interest in the Batwang and wanted to save that for 45 years in the future...
