Secret Wars 8 opening page imprint 0

Hey everyone! New to the boards and recently got back into collecting (20 yr hiatus). This week I bought a secret wars 8 on eBay, book came in and looks fantastic expect for the first page which has a faded smurfs imprint on the lower white part under the credits/fine print. Is this a common printing error from the publisher? I was going to get this CGC SS signed by Beatty and Zeck in the future, will this grade lower because of that error or is this a common occurrence that CGC accepts? Wondering if I should resell it or keep it. This book otherwise would be a 9.6 or maybe a 9.8. I’ll try to attach an image. Thanks!

Printing artifact, will not affect grade.

Very, very cool. I don't have an unslabbed copy at the moment; can you thumb through the book and see if it corresponds to an ad?

I just flipped through mine - I don't see it.

Ghost image transfer during the stacking process, I assume (?) before the pages were cut and the book stapled....

It would have to be since that's the half of the CF ad that would be in contact with page 1 in an unfolded stack of interiors.

Just searched eBay, second book I looked at had it

tough to pick out 9.8 defects from a picture instead of a scan, but that certainly looks like a nice copy to me!

One of mine has it too, it also has transfer on the CF and back page (mostly in the Spider-man panel). I'll check my other copies when I dig them out.
