Adam Warlock Marvel Premiere #1 CGC question 0

Hi - Thinking of adding this to my collection. Could I get some idea of what you all think of the grade for this? The seller is saying it is a 8.5VF+. But I think it is more of a 7.0, like to hear your thoughts. Actual scans of the comic.

I'd give it lower than a 7.0 myself, but that might be me as I'm really picky about tanning with the cover or pages.  8.5 is very optimistic, if not fraudulent.

Yeah, when the seller says highly recommend to buy it is always shady.

Even going by the scans the most I'd give that is a 6.0 and it could well be worse in hand.

But really you should be posting this in the hey buddy, can you spare a grade? forum.

without the crease upper right 6.0. with the crease 5.5. Sorry to the seller, no way close to an 8.5.

Yeah, big color breaking crease in the corner, that book is 5.0-5.5

No way thats an 8.5.

Over 10 color breaking spine ticks.

2 big color breaking creases on the top and bottom corner.

Edge wear by Warlocks right hand.

Back looks clean tho but thats it.

Black covers are naturally tough in grade so for sure not an 8.5.

6.5 on a good day.

5.0 to 6.0 is the range without seeing it in hand.

Maybe a 6.0.  Seller should have strictly graded it a 5.5.  8.5 is just plain wrong.

Having some of the highest grades for that book and seen/ scanned through thousands of them, and having subbed them to CGC you’d get a 5.5 on a good day with an adept or tired grader
