Looking back now, what spoils them for me is the frequently bombastic, almost metal lyric-like dialogue.

But, still enjoyable in places.

But that’s what makes them relevant and outstanding, especially at the time they came out. :)
Yes, they are not easy, some are just "not fully accomplished experiments". But New Gods tops most of the others in terms of overall quality.
