None of these are RECENT dollar bin books... but all four of them were a dollar or less back in the day when I first got them:

I bought similar beat up copies of the Batman and Spotlight for $2 back in the day (1990s). Not the other two though.

I suspect most of us dollar bin connoisseurs have similar success stories over time, even if the actual books vary greatly.  It's fun to pull out an extremely skewed example like this occasionally, though.

For what it's worth, the Falcon and the Poison Ivy books were both just 'random old books' when I got them, but I knew what I was getting on the Ghost Rider and Werewolf books... they just weren't in very high demand right that instant.

sure, i just yanked an FF annual 6 out of my boxes that I am sure was a $1-3 purchase. But that was not much of anything until a few years ago.

I didn't even think of including that in the shot, but my copy was a dollar bin book as well... and a lot more recently than the other four.  I also got a Hulk King-Sized Special with the Steranko cover from the same box at the same time.

the hulk book is surprising. that has been a known book for a long time, quite possibly since the 70s.

Just picked up 3 long boxes (600-700 comics) for $250. Anybody know their DW Transformers or these Antarctic Press recognition guides? The Beast Wars recently sold for $40, but not sure about the others. This first box has been a lot of GI Joe (all publishers) Transformers and Star Wars.

I’ll just say I wish I was more knowledgeable and persistent when the 2nd and Charles stores started popping up around here. I was able to pull UXM 129, UXM 266, NM 98, What If 105, and a bunch of other awesome books from their boxes for a dollar within a couple of weeks. No telling what other gold was just waiting in those boxes.

Too many of the gi joe, transformers, and Batman sets to get out, but here are a few randos I pulled out. Some random signed stuff, too.

Not unless it is a high grade newsstand maybe. A few auctions have gone triple digits, but most sales are less. It doesn't matter though, he probably has $1000 in books or more there anyway. He cleaned up.

That's a fantastic collection at that price. Also, that 2004 Young Guns Sketchbook is a really, really random (if welcome) book to have twenty copies of in a lot. Especially that wasn't priced even a little more appropriately.

That's about what I thought roughly. Maybe more or less after I sell them all.

I am finding young guns in 9.6 or better very difficult many of those will be 9.2 to 9.4 copies

What’s the reason for pulling an Inside Image 2?hm

Early deathblow. They were all dirt cheap so I thought why pass it up and I piled it in. Never know.
Not 1st app, but early. I never find Inside Image books never for some reason you would think
there should be a ton somewhere.
