1967 I was ten years old,  bought my first ASM off the racks, #50, while on a Tahoe trip with the family,

Read the story, and my life changed, never read anything like it, so "real"? so fun, yet so amazing!

Thank you Stan, for being a part of my childhood, and the wonder of what you help create,

+1 same exact sentiment for me but mine was Amazing Spiderman #3

I'm curious to see how it shakes out. There are so many Stan SS's floating around out there, will be curious to see if there's a value bump due to his death, or if there's a glut that leads to diminished value (i.e. everyone finally figures out that there are hundreds of thousands of these things floating around out there).  I don't have any Stan auto's or SS's, so I don't have a dog in the race, just curious to see how it goes.

I only have one Stan Lee SS book and I plan on taking it to the grave with me.  I stood in line for a while and got to converse with him a little while he was signing my book.  That was something to me and so was the picture of him and I.
This is such a sad day.  Feel a bit empty right now.

My introduction to Stan was Amazing Spider-Man #7. I was 7 years old.  Spidey should have been required reading in the 2nd grade. So much better than that "see Richard and Jane" drivel we were learning in school.

Rest in peace, Stan.

He was the 'voice' and personality of Marvel Comics during the time they made the transition from being children's fodder to being the cool medium that combined the visual with the written word, told stories on a grand scale, and brought young adults into the fold.  For some like me, for the rest of our lives.

Speaking of autographs... the frenzy is on... whoa...

For those that said the market was saturated with Stan Lee autographs... I guess the demand really is there.  I bought a few more signatures earlier this year and they aren't for sale so I have no dog in this race.  I added these up as many have said over the years how there is a glut of his signatures and that he would sign anything.  Apparently the demand was always there.

Yeah I am not adding anything more.

My friend was so annoyed that the seller refunded his money for the Daredevil 1 in the CGC 2.0 that he went ahead and bought an Action Comics 17.   That right there... that's internet canastas...
