Amazing that someone paid this much for this book, is this issue worth $17k ?

I guess this is suppose to be the finest example around according to Pedigree due to having the whitest cover of all copies, but still come on 100% increase since the last sale according to GPA records!!

Based on how washed out the label looks, I would say the whiteness has been "enhanced."

I looked at that book, not that I could ever afford it at that price.  That top left corner bugged me too much to bid.

Screened some for sale on eBay I was looking for a nice copy and this is by far the whitest cover but I agree that's if this hasn't been enhanced by some kind of photo software.

I'm kinda confused, are you guys talking about photo enhancement or the actual book?

The 9.8 hunters pay a premium for their books.  Personally, I never was interested in his 1st cameo appearance in a freaking cocoon and would rather have his 1st app as Adam or Warlock.  11 copies out there of this book in a 9.8.  Wonder how many more will pop up.

I think the scan has been manipulated to enhance the whiteness. I base this on how light the cgc label looks.

I always thought that Heritage, ComicConnect, and ComicLink were the 3 big auction houses, with Pedigree trailing far behind this group.

Curious as to which of the big 3 you would drop into 4th place behind Pedigree?
