Thank you!  I found it on eBay a few years ago.  The company that makes them also has changeable signage that goes with them.  The signage isn’t metal but it still looks good.  I have a Timely label but I can’t find it unfortunately.

Truth is I really had a good year in Golden Age Awesomeness, I got a great deal on a Ghost 6, a Junior 15, a Phantom Lady 13, and some other amazing books. But, I keep coming back to this Planet Comics #2. High Grade 1940 book that is just beautiful! As with many of the books I got this year I feel like I was just super lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time (with my wallet open).

The purple label seems to make some books affordable – sometimes...

I got this Purple Label Of Discount for half what I was willing to pay (seemed like there were no serious bidders at the time) and probably 5% (or 1% - we will see) of what the Church copy will go for. Also, I have never seen what I presume to be “Professional” restoration. A-3: A for Excellent quality materials and 3 for moderate amount. I can see the spine seal but the rest I can't find or is just inside the book. It's funny, the edges trimmed probably bothers me the most – I really don't know why. Anyway, I find the restoration process to be quite the art form in and of itself. I just love looking at this book.

It's been a great year! I became active on the CGC boards, joined Instagram to show off my collection, and joined an Archie Comics Fan Forum to connect with other collectors and fans. And, as some of you know, I've been focused on collecting vintage Archie merchandise, and my favorite find, my holy grail, is *drum roll* ... Archie's Car by Aurora. I've been searching for this model for 20 years   Although it's associated with the Silver Age (and, as is most of my collection), I thought you all might be interested in seeing it. 

I plan to start collecting more Golden Age comics next year. I also plan to convert my home office to a comic/toy room next year to showoff my collection. I've already ordered vintage Archie fabric for curtains

For me I had a few I was really happy to cross off my most wanted list. 

First was this BB 115 thanks to @jimjum12

I’m already looking back on 2018 as a great year. I began the year starting a new chapter with a new employer, I’ve also had the pleasure of adding some very special Silver and Bronze to my collection. 

AC #437 is a grail, I waited several years for another 9.8 to surface, which it finally did in the first quarter of 2018. The binding and black cover have made this issue illusive in high grade. I sold a lot of slabs to make owing this book happen.

This is just a great late Silver cover from THE Silver Age Pedigree.

AC #398 is a book I had my eye on for a decade. This Pacific Coast example first appeared in the CGC gallery back in 2008, and I hoped I would get a crack at it. I put out a WTB post for this with no luck. I dreamt of holding this piece in my hands and the dream came true this year.

I once tried for another 9.8 of this book a few years back on ComicLink, the final price closed at around $1,300. I got this pedigree example for much less. Love this Neal Adams cover also!

This is my first Silver Age Wonder Woman slab. I didn’t think I’d win it for the price I got it for honestly. Some times you just get lucky.

This Rex was a grail, and not easy to find...until szavisca notified me that a certain dealer had this one for sale.  Thanks Scott!

Another book that szavisca alerted me to at a local comic shop...and the next book was right in front of it in the box.  Thanks Scott!

This Jetta Grail showed up in a local comic shop for $25...szavisca didn't know what it was and left it for me in the box .  Thanks again Scott...

This Jumbo showed up late one night on ebay with a BIN of $49.95 shipped...it was a no-brainer...

This was "free"...
