I actually posted all of mine together on another board with specific details about the purchases, but in order to properly present that post without awkward explanation, spoilers are needed.  In fact, double spoilers to insure the integrity of the posted comments & contents without editorializing.  So, without further adieu, here's my Top 10 list in countdown order with several grail acquisitions in the pole positions...

THAT... is one crazy ambitious post! So intricately planned and executed. I tip my hat to you.  :golfclap:

p.s. Of course the comics are more than worthy of your ambitious efforts. That would be an admirable collection for a lifetime let alone a year.  :cloud9:

Posted my best 3 high grade pick ups from this year earlier, but wanted to add 3 more that were really awesome additions for me in 2018.  I added this trio of Lucky 7s thanks to boardies which makes these special ... and only one was from sales thread, the other two resulted from casual pm conversations.

No matter how much people complain about how dead the boards are now, or how slow the marketplace is compared to how it used to be...I can only say the CGC boards and the people who frequent here have been godsends to me as a collector and a father of 3 children under the age of 5 who doesn't have time to make it to the LCS more than a handful of times a year, let alone all the big conventions.

Two of the books were not offered for sale publicly and the boardies gave me plenty of time to come up with the money to buy them (in one case over a year).  They weren't cheap, but the deals were very fair and no shady auction houses were enriched in the process which is great.  Thanks quiet gracious boardies I'm very grateful!

All I can say about those three books is FINE...VERY FINE indeed.

I'm expecting one more triumph before New Year unless the guv'mt shutdown furloughs reindeer delaying the jolly elf's deliveries.

Just came in from CL (I don't think my CC win will be in before the end of the year).  This one gets me complete on Cap from #1 to #20.

2018 was a remarkable year for my collecting. I 'went big' on PCH, LB Cole and other longtime faves, and wiped out far more of my wantlist books than I thought possible through some mix of buying/selling strategy and sheer dumb luck. Here are most of the highlights... Thank you guys for a year of fun times here. (thumbsu

I’m going to update an earlier posting to include a couple of books that I just now completed payment on. This is my top 3 from 2018, and thus begins for me a period of dormancy.  I may dabble with little stuff.  Or not.  This is harder than giving up smoking
