• First appearance of Colonel Brett Sabre. 
• New stories featuring the Western Ghost Rider (Carter Slade) begin. 
• "The Coming of Gunhawk" – (10-page story, no synopsis written). 
• "The Outlaw!" – (5-page story penciled by Jack Kirby, reprinted from Two-Gun Kid #55, Aug. 1960). 
• "Tales of Fort Rango" – (10-page story) – Colonel Brett Sabre shows up at Fort Rango to whip the soldiers into shape. A group of them decide they prefer slacking off, and decide to kill him, and make it look like Indians did it. When the actual Indians show up to kill everyone, the mutineers team up with Col. Sabre to fend them off. After the victory, Sabre declares that their help in the battle will be noted in their trail. 
• "There's a Shoot-Out Comin'!" – (4-page story drawn by Sol Brodsky, reprinted from The Rawhide Kid #33, Apr. 1963). 
• "Call Them... Renegades" – (10-page story, no synopsis written). 
• "Return of the Tarantula!" – (10-page Ghost Rider story, no synopsis written, continues in next issue). 
NOTE: Gunhawk's real name is not known but he has been referred to as Lee Barnett, and as Bounty-Hawk. 
NOTE: The splash page of "The Coming of Gunhawk" story is drawn by Herb Trimpe and lettered by Morrie Kuramoto. Werner Roth's splash was apparently rejected, and was likely discovered in inventory and used as a pin-up in Kid Colt # 227 (Dec. 1978).
