Poor quality cases
1 1

28 posts in this topic

Just got back 6 books (Warren mags) that I had pressed and re-cased.

Can't believed how bad the new cases are.

Not only do they each have multiple flaws, they all have at least one major flaw in common.

When you look at the back of the case, your eye is drawn to the upper-right corner, where it looks as if a rodent had been chewing on it.

How did this happen to all 6 of the books?

And how did it get past "quality control"?

That little sliver is bothersome?

This appears to be a rather common defect with the magazine cases---sorry, nothing unusual.

As far as I know, CGC has no plans on switching the mags over to the new style cases (although the labels have been updated). I'm guessing that the new style cases would be pretty heavy if they were magazine size, which would very likely add to the cost of shipping...  (shrug)
