I just looked at some books by a new publisher Tkopresents They have some pretty cool titles and are really doing things differently. They give the first issue free of every series,

Even though this seems like a plant, I'll bite.

TKO Studios business model does seem interesting. They are releasing all the issues of a series at once. Basically like Netflix for comics. They are hitting the ground running to with series from Lemire and Ennis.

From what I understand the TPB, individual issues, and digital all release simultaneously. That's how TKO's twitter and a few articles read at least.

That's what it is essentially. I'm not sure the reasoning other than some like to have individual copies over a trade.

Okay, argument time: if they're releasing all of the issues at the same time, are they all legitimately first appearances of characters that appear in multiple issues?

Probably, but they are independents. 1st appearances don't matter much unless there are super-hero type comics. You just want the 1st issue of the series.

I read the fist issue of Sara since it's free. Eh, I would give #2 a read. But it's not at the top of my list.

I prefer when publishers come here to plug their stuff that they say who they are. I can respect that. After sitch comics (who I think is a boardie anyway)  and the fairlane the goblin guy came here I went out and bought some of their books
