Not particularly looked for (or at least not by every collector), but surely not common and I love them both for the cultural context they offer and the stiff cardboard which kinda preserved the comic from severe damage (in most cases). :)
Very nice when they are issues you care more about (would love to find a Son of Satan one if they were still running the inserts in the mid-1970s).

I am surprised by how few MJ inserts I own (and double covers). With that said, there were only a few military bases in NYC, which I assume influences my "in person" purchases and I wonder if they would have been offered there as the bases are in the middle of the city and blocks away from regular stores, but then again, a big chunk of what I own was probably bought from New Jersey dealers too.
