Sometimes the reprints were my favorite part of the book. The Batman issues had reprints from Tec 37, Batman 5(one of the very best issues in the entire run), World's Best 1, and Batman 7. What's not to love?

Does anyone know what issues had these golden age Batman reprints ?

Yesterday a friend dropped off to me a laundry basket full of Bronze Age readers he rescued from the trash pile. These are just the 48’s and 52’s.  Many in rough shape but still some nice covers to be enjoyed.

Found my Mylar box containing some DC 48 and 52 pagers all purchased in the late 1990's. Starting to prepare them for a CGC submission. All, except Mr Miracle,  are Oakland Pedigree but I sadly replaced the Mylar's for 2 of them probably around 20 years ago. When I see Vinny Z at NYCC, I know he'll remember (I've known him since he was tiny fish doing small local shows in my area) my somewhat large in quantity Oakland purchase perhaps he still has his records and can furnish me with something?

Here’s a personal favorite of mine!

Bought that one off the stands but later donated to kneel atoms.  Current copy is all jacked up with rust migration and replaced staples but all I could afford.

Sure. 5 Hulk #181’s and you got yourself a deal!

In all seriousness, I’m not interested in a trade since this is an upgraded copy from my previous one.

No harm in asking!  lol

Off-center cover, notice the 4 in 414 is cut off. Glad comic's aren't graded like stupid trading cards :)

I forget where I read it but I once read an article that said something like these 25 cent books were a disaster for DC. They were locked into some kind of deal that they had to produce them for a year or so. Meanwhile, rival Marvel still had 15 cents books on the stands. I think this is when Marvel overtook DC in sales. I believe they both ended up go to 20 cents around the same time. I personally love the 52 pages, they were some of my favorite in my early collecting years due to the reprint material in them. I have all of the Superman titles, Brave and the Bold, Forever People, Tarzan, etc. I love the heft of the books as well as the extra stuff they threw in to fill them up.
