I've been surprised in some cool ways in the past, when opening gifts so this should have been no surprise...but it was. After opening our presents to each other, I was told that I had one last gift. The plan was to "kill some time" and maybe take a drive or walk along the beach considering (for New England at least), we had some nice weather. We head out for a drive and she asks.. Take a walk along the beach? I'm like, sure hon... why not? We get out of the car and we're walking along and I'm thinking.. why would she ask to walk along the beach anyway? She never asks this even in the best of weather.. at this point, I knew something was up but I did't expect what happened next. We continue walking and out in the cold waters of Newport, Rhode Island, this surfer glides across the water, right up to the shore line and says "hello, are you Mike Pereira?" Ummmmm... yes. He responds with "oh cool. I'm the Silver Surfer and someone wanted you to have this.  He hands me an laminated picture that he apparently had in his hands while surfing, of my final gift. I look at the picture... engage laughing mode. lol Of course.. the gift? Fantastic Four # 48 :banana:My girl ordered a Silver Surfer suit that he was going to wear while gliding along the water but the suit was delayed and didn't make it in time. He agreed to wear it and do it again so she could have pics as she intended so if and when that happens, I'll probably post them. She has a history of doing things like this.. (getting pulled over and the officer hands me my Hulk 1) Damn.. miss that book. lol  so this may not be the last story like this but it definitely ranks as one of the best ones I've been presented with. 

I thought it was a really cool and unique way to get such a cool book. Thought some of you might find some amusement from this story and thought I'd share. (thumbsu

Hello Bomber. I thought this one topped the Hulk story as well. lol The Hulk 1 (which was one of my fav books) went to fund another hobby/addiction that seems to always get the best of me. After selling my Hulk 1 and most recently, my More fun 73 6.5 and St110 9.4 Northland, I swear.. I am NOT selling any more books to fund the other hobby. :sumo: While I have no regrets on my decision, I do miss those books.. a lot.

Thank you. As Bomber Bob pointed out above... she did something similar last year with a Hulk 1. I got pulled over on Christmas day and the officer asked me for my license and registration, I gave it to him and he told me it was just a break light out. He comes back and says " someone wanted me to give you this" and he hands me a laminated picture of my new Hulk 1. She does some crazy things to make the holidays very memorable. lol The officer was a cool guy. He offered to take a pic and even let me take one in his cruiser.
