the seller agreed and after contacting ebay he had no choice but to refund the money back. It wasn't a properly listed item. If he had only said "bid with caution or I am not a grader or this just my best guess at the condition of book"  I would of not wont the case

Well that was a nice 3 days

How should I package this back to the seller and what comic should I buy next? LOL

put the comic into a bag with board. Tape the bagged comic with board to a piece of cardboard. Then put another cardboard over top to create a "sandwich".

Pack cardboard pack in a box with packing materials.

This is responsible shipping, and you also teach the seller how to properly ship a comic.

What is your hurry? Why are you so resistant to people explaining to you that you need to learn more -- not only about grading, but many other things-- before you start throwing money around on buying comics? Research and learn. You act surprised that you are making mistakes but appear to have done none of the work involved in making educated decisions. You ask tons of questions about things that are already discussed and use the wrong forums repeatedly for things like "what grade would this get?' (use the Grading forum).

Not only that-- you are buying books that are probably at the top of their movie hype price bubble. The time to buy this book was a few years ago.

I get the impression you are thinking you can simply buy something cheaply, get it graded and flip it for a nice profit. The people on these boards are collecting experts for the most part. Some of them have been collecting, dealing, trading, grading, and understanding the market for over 40 years.

The best advice you have been given since you joined here all of one week ago was to READ THE FORUM. Read the Noob guides and FAQ threads. When you think you have read enough-- read more. Having an opinion is great- but an informed one is even better. It adds value.

My advice-- hold off buying any comics for a year and use that time to understand the collecting hobby in general.

Well, a year is a long time, but maybe not go nuts right off the bat thinking you can be a comic wheeler and dealer in 3 weeks. We can't all be Aweanorder and make six figures per month finding hidden treasures on ebay and flipping them.

I got it I am only going to buy CGC slabbed items only from ebay now onwards. The extra fees and it getting there in one piece and on top of that how subjective cgc might grade the actual book can change everything.

Given my lack of expertise along with CGC's possible margin of error when it comes to grading, I would tend to follow a simple rule to decide if a book is worth grading or not.

The rule of thumb that I would go with is that if it's guiding for less than $300 in the condition guide value you think the book is in, then it's probably not worth grading. Especially with all of the ancillary charges that you would have to absorb along with the tedious time and hassle involved with getting a book graded.   hm

As a result, it would never ever cross my mind to get a book like ASM 361 or virtually any other MA book slabbed.  Or at least, not quite yet. Of course, that's just me as it's really to each their own.  (thumbsu

I just shipped back the item to the seller and glad things went smoothly. He was truly a decent guy and I really did luck out. I read the whole comic in 15 minutes since I had it and shipped it exactly how you guys told me to pack it.

I didn't know Donald Trump was a big deal back then in the early 90's to be talked about in comic books. LOL

It sort of trippy seeing  Donald Trump being mentioned in Amazing Spider-man #361. Aunt May had a thing for Donald Trump.  In the early 90's what was Donald Trump doing was he famous then too? I was too young to know the news and current state of the country then.

Today I just received my new shipment and this made my day even better!

Everything is brand new in shrink wrap but I most probably will not open the DC Absolute I just found out this is Whale status and hard to find I just picked this up to read it but most likely will keep it in the wrap for the foreseeable future.

Which book should I open up and read first any recommendations? I already read the Killing Joke by the way.

Donald Trump was a publicity seeking new york City real estate developer in the early 90s. Not sure if he was a failed casino operator, failed airline owner or any of those things yet. Come to think of it I think he was bankrupt when that comic came out, be he got bailed out.

His exploits were going on in the 80’s too, don’t forget that he was an owner in the USFL.

That is one beautiful hell of a HC sleeve on that DC Book

Is that New Frontier?

If “yes”, that’s what you should read first.   It’s a double-edge sword though.

After you read that, most things you read after that will pale in comparison.  At the same time, you’ll see how good the medium can be.

just a reminder the seller said it was "securely packed" and "tripple packaged"

he failed to remember one of those "packages" was a Selia Walsh album cover...

He did a great job packaging it to be honest with the materials he used, no way this comic would have gotten damaged it might not look sturdy but that thing was a brick.

I seriously do not understand why any of us are bothering at this point, You simply ignore everything. That packaging is NOT well done at all. There is a thread on that. It is in the forum for new members-- pinned to the top.

but hey-- just keep asking questions and do zero homework.
