I've never read it, I remember it was kind of a big deal at the time since Mark Hamill was writing it.

Honestly, that was an attraction for me as well. Just haven't got to them. Sat them in the collection and kind of forgot about them....

I used to pick the platinums out of dollar bins all of the time. I assume people just weren't paying attention. I don't think it's hard to find, but it's definitely a great Biz cover and the platinum looks gorgeous on it!

Id love a Bisley alien commission

What a great thread! I had a high school buddy introduce the Aliens series to me in the late 80s. Between that and my discovery of Anime - he changed my life.

Here's a series that I remember seeing on the stands back in the day. But I didn't pick them all up until fairly recently.

Once Art Adams started illustrating Godzilla - forget about it! I was hooked!

Which reminds me - one of the great contributions of DHC was retaining Adams to churn out so much beautiful work over the years. Otherwise, he would've just been doing the same characters for the Big 2, year after year.

Nice comics! I happen to only have two Godzillas, and they are the bottom ones.

Speaking of Art Adams...I just found this gorgeous copy of Animal Confidential and decided to rebag it. And as I was removing it from the bag, of the worse possible thing happens, which never happens because I'm so careful. The tape snagged the cover and a piece ripped off.

Aaaarrghhh!!

Thanks for posting these. I had no idea there were so many prints for each issue. Congrats for getting your hands on all of them (thumbsu

i noticed that #5 sells for a slight premium over #4 and also that #6 is dirt cheap in comparison to both of them. Any obvious reason for this that I am overlooking?

You’re most welcome!  I don’t have them all as of yet.  I am missing #6 second print.  I’m guessing that #5 goes for more in 9.8 is that there are less maybe due to a printing defect.  DH books weren’t printed on the best quality paper in the beginning.  I’ll have to look more into it.

I somehow missed this announcement a couple of weeks ago, but apparently Marvel is doing as expected and are issuing the DH Aliens material in Omnibus format.

While it will be nice to have so much material collected in a single hc, I still vastly prefer the oversized trim and slimmer volumes from DH's Library series, and wish we'd had more in that format. They're really lovely books.

I'm still going to hold onto my set of the small paperback omnibii from DH, in case Marvel doesn't eventually get around to collecting everything. You never know these days.

Also curious that it lists Aliens "Space Marines" as opposed to "Colonial Marines". Not sure what the reasoning would be there. If Marvel has the full Aliens comic license I would expect that to also include the term "Colonial Marines". Weird.

Maybe people couldn't grasp that these Marines involved in OUR colonizing other systems, not original 13 colonies marines....
