It's very sad that even at my age when someone says New Yorkers that I think of Long Island, New York City and its boroughs and part of Westchester...

I looked at it and said, "What's Kenmore?"

Just bought a collection and found this customer bag and thought it was either a completely lame store or a very cool shop.  Anybody know anything?

Absolutely....the store was located in New York state and it was marvelous.  It was owned by a guy named Tony and he was a big Shazam fan.  They bought and sold both new and old comics on a regular basis.  It was based out of a physical location, but they had a phone as well.  Oh, and they were closed on Sundays.  Hope that helps.

PLUS the population in Kenmore of around 15k means that most of the customer there were probably relatives of Tony

the bag can't be that old; it's got an area code on it.  when did businesses start putting their area codes on their branded stuff like that?

The seller told me that he shopped there in the 70s and 80s. I just googled it and there's no record of its existence.  Another shop lost to the winds of time.
