"Sunday" Spirit Comics Bound edition (all are Chicago Sun).

Contains the Sunday Spirit comics from each week including "The Spirit", "Lady Luck" and "Mr Mystic"

There are 35 total Spirit Comics (which means 35 Lady Luck, and 35 Mr Mystic).

Dates are as follows:

April 26 1942, May 17 1942, May 24 1942,  May 31 1942, June 7 1942, June 14 1942, June 21 1942, June 28 1942, July 5 1942, July 12 1942, July 19 1942, July 26 1942

August 2 1942, August 9 1942, August 16 1942, August 23 1942, Aug 30 1942, Sept 6 1942, Sept 13 1942, Sept 20 1942, Sept 27 1942, Oc 4 1942, Oct 11 1942, Oct 18 1942,

Oct 25 1942, Nov 8 1942,  Nov 15 1942, Nov 22 1942, Nov 29 1942, Dec 6 1942, Dec 13 1942, Dec 20 1942, Dec 27 1942, Jan 3 1943, & Jun 10 1943.

Because this is bound I'm assuming the edges are trimmed.  The 1st "decorative end paper" is detached, and the 1st comic page "April 26 1942" has a long tear along the spine.

The pages can be handled fairly easy, they still have suppleness, but there are a pages that you need to be careful with.... basically the first couple pages.  The extreme edges of the paper have tanned but are not brittle.

As a weird bonus there is a cutout "Flash Gordon" pasted to one of the endpapers in the front and a large "Donald Duck" cut out pasted on one of the rear endpapers.

Archie 57 - raw - 5.5ish

Comic is faded but otherwise gorgeous.  The spine is superb.

The fading and a couple of other small flaws bring it down to the 5.5ish range.

Pages look to be White

Back cover has what looks to be the equivalent of "marvel chipping" (dull blade when cut) on the free edge.  It's hard to see in my photo.

Tales of Suspense 52 CGC 4.0 (1st Black Widow) OW

Presents like a 5.0, but has a long diagonal crease which brought the grade lower.  Spine is really nice

Lower left back cover is a crease not a stain.  The weird thin image in Crimson D is a reflection of my arm

I'll take it!

Rare Australian version of Superboy 5 which features the 1st Supergirl story (1949).  This is from the same era probably just a few months later.

This one is Superboy 14 (in the australian Superboys they started the numbering with #1 being from "More Fun #101")

I'm going to grade it as a 3.5 "conserved" because it has some archival tape on a some tears around the staples.

Pages show some foxing

Suzie 67 SIGNED by Bill Woggon on a Katy Keene page.

I see this as a solid 6.0.  It would look even nicer after a press.  Cover and Cf are solid at the staples.  Nice rounded spine.  There is a long scuff near the spine on the front, and a small crease on the back in the upper left.

$175 $160
