I inherited a large playboy collection.  I want to sell the collection. I know it is worth a lot.  I have researched values, but not sure how/where to sell them.  Here is a partial list and photos of the first one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Send that graded #1 to one of the big auction houses.  That's a 5-figure mag.

We sold one at a big auction house and we were robbed.  It was a signed first edition... I don't want to make that mistake again.

At a real auction house, or an online comic house?

I think the message you replied to was suggesting one of the "big" comic book-selling online auction houses.

Correct.   I was referring to Heritage, C-Link, CC...

I don't track Playboys, but as someone else mentioned, maybe HA is the best venue.

Do you mind sharing how you got robbed? Didn't receive payout? Sold for way under perceived value?

Was it auctioned to in-person crowd or online?

online and it sold for way under what it was worth.

Please accept my condolences.

From what I've heard, Heritage is the best place to go through for Playboy magazines. I hope this helps, and welcome to the boards...

is HA Heritage?  I am new to all this, but determined to do it right.

Granted, there are always potential pitfalls in any kind of venture such as this, but if you want to move all the material at one time, it's probably best to consult a place like Heritage. This is exactly the kind of thing they specialize in. If you'd rather move the material in a more measured fashion, you could contact a place like Comiclink. Either way, I wish you the best of luck...  :wishluck:

Thats's not the auction house fault, just bad luck and or not a good auction house to sell that type of media most likely.

That was my thought. I just did not know enough at the time to realize it was the wrong venue.
