Berkeley Comic Show Sun. April 7 Great Dealer Lineup
2 2

59 posts in this topic

The quarterly Berkeley Comic Show returns on Sunday, April 7. (Note the move to Sundays and also note that the next show after this is Sunday, June 30.) If you didn't attend the January show, you missed out on our beautiful big parking lot, lol   For the April show we have lots of great vendors like Harley Yee, A-1 Comics, Heroes, Champion, Steve Wyatt, Bunky Brothers, Worlds of Wonder, Harvey Doss, etc. We will also have at least five new vendors who either haven't done the show before or haven't done it in at least six months.  Dealer lineup and guest lineup to come.

Again, at the Berkeley Adult School, 1701 San Pablo Avenue, just off the highway.

Woo Hoo!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the show!

Check us out on Instagram @berkeleycomicshow for updates!

As he mentioned above, Marc does a great job of including new sellers each show so there’s always fresh material for everyone!

I’ll post some pics of the last show shortly - it was awesome!

At our previous location we didn't have room for any artists to set up.

At this new location, there is a fantastic old stage with pulled back velvet curtains that the artists set up on. Be sure to head up there and meet them all!

We're excited to announce Mark Bodē as a guest at our April 7 show!

Mark is best known for his work on his science fiction graphic novels entitled Cobalt 60. He was also one of the original artists on TMNT series,

and he created the Miami Mice comic book which was a huge hit in the 80s. Mark tattoos at Sacred Rose Tattoo shop in Berkeley CA, and does spraycan murals, and gallery shows worldwide.

vintage comic book fan all the way!

Since San Francisco /Berkeley is a high tech area, are you paying for Facebook ads to promote and grow your convention? If so, I would be interested in what key words you are using to target your collector base? e.g. comics, comic books, Avengers, Captain Marvel, X-men, Spider-man, graphic novel, hm collectibles, Batman, Star Wars and ...?

Quite a few Facebook ads,  a bit more tied to characters than movies and they have actual key words Bronze Age of Comic Books, Silver Age of Comics Books, and Golden Age of Comic Books. (No modern or copper though...) Since our vendors have pretty much self-selected towards vintage and away from TPBs/GNs after the first show or two, we don't bother with graphic novels as a key word. Maybe I will try that one for the next campaign.

When are you coming by? Roy broke the Canada barrier last time. :)

Gah...I wanted to update/redo the site to bring it up to speed and to highlight your new Artists Alley... (Plus pull in your updates from Facebook and Instagram since that seems to be where most of your "advertising" goes.)

Too little time...
