A speck of concrete got in my eye yesterday and I’m pretty sure I need to go to urgent care tomorrow. I hate urgent care. I should wait until it’s emergency room worthy. My girlfriend works in the medical field and has shamed me off using the emergency room for minor things.

That lobby is a good place to read some comics though

Urgent care is not going to have an eyeball specialist and you don't want to amateur this into permanent damage.

Maybe call advice nurse they are good at directing care and can make emergency appointments with like opthamologists.  There should be a number on back of your card to call for various stuff.

Who are the two worst trolls?

Yeah, I am curious as well.  My problem is that I can only identify maybe 9 or 10 boardies. I recognize your names, of course, but I only have a sense of who a few people "are" from PM chats and what not.

It's always a compliment when you meet someone and they say, wow you're not nearly as much of a jerk in person are you are on the boards.

It must be gratifying.

Funner still are the amount of people who say, wow I can't believe I actually was friends with that guy, lesson learned.

I guess I’ll judt go to the emergency room lol I much prefer it there anyway. It’s a super nice hospital and the place is always empty

Remember you can go to any emergency room but you have to have a reason for going to nearest but out of network hospital like you were bleeding profusely or felt it was unsafe to drive farther.  Make sure you call member services the next day to report an out of network ER visit or you could end up paying for it.  Note date/time/person you spoke with on phone because you will most likely receive something in mail asking for these things.

I wish I had listened to the PM chats I had early on, I could've avoided the biggest mistake I've made in the hobby, lesson learned.

good judgment comes from experience, which comes from bad judgment they say.  Smartest move is learn from other's mistakes so you dont gotta make em yourself.

I always make sure my hospital is the one I like. I usually have one or two extended stays a year so I know the insurance will pay for it. I actually just got out of the hospital like 3 weeks ago. The day I got out I went to the water park. Looked like a total junkie with the track marks from the CCU and all my crappy home made tattoos. I’m sure I creeped out a few people in the lazy river

That hospital has awesome food. I was eating better than I do regularly 😂

The nurse liked me too, she was saving me extra plates. I actually have a great time there. Sit in bed and read comics all day

I loved how you could order as much as you want or second helpings.  Turkey with stuffing and mashed potatoes, fried chicken, salisbury steak, meatloaf, pancakes and sausages, it was all good.  They had a freezer too where you could help yourself to ice cream bars and popsicles any time you wanted.

Very true. Unfortunately I can be a bit of a wide eyed optimist, a bit of an innocent really.

Ah well, I guess that's why they put erasers on pencils.

They are going to flush the eye until the object comes out.  Then you will have immediate relief.  Whatever you do don't rub it.  If they can't flush it out then the doc is going in with a a q tip or something.  It is bad you waited so long and may have scratched your eyeball.
