Was wondering if I could get some opinions on this comic cover. If its worth while to send in for grading. I don't think a press will help because it looks like a issue during production. 

 

You mainly notice these lines from the side.

When I read grading scales, the 9.4 and up sections say only subtle printer defects, while 9.2 says a limited number of small ones are allowed.

So I'd  think 9.2 solely based on my reading.

When in doubt there is no doubt.  If you want a high grade slabbed copy of this book you might be better off buying one.  If you are looking to sell this one you may lose money,  I don't know anything about this particular book or its value.  Some books just aren't worth slabbing.

Raws of this 1:25 Hughes variant hover around $20-30 online. CGC graded 9.8 copies have sold for $75....have not seen higher than that. This would fall in the 9.0-9.2 for me because of the crease. I would hazard to guess CGC value around $40-50...so may not be worth it.\

But if is for your PC, who am I to tell one what to do

Yeah, these don't seem like great candidates to send in. Even if you get technical grades you can live with, the streaking is going to be a net negative to any potential buyer, unless (as the gent above me suggests) it's just for your collection. I'd spend the slabbing $ on a copy without the defect or just keep them raw.

After you break it down that way it's not worth trying to CGC it. I'll just keep it and maybe look to buy a version already graded. 

Definitely a learning experience.
