SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE I CAN SELL A HUGE COLLECTION OF PERFECT PLAYBOY MAGAZINES. HAVENT BEEN OFFICIALLY GRADED BUT THEY LOOK LIKE THEY ARE STRAIGHT OFF THE SHELVES.

These are pretty tough to find the right sales venue.  If you have the early issues in very high grade, you may have success with Heritage Auctions.  Otherwise, eBay?  (shrug)

if they are 1963 or newer you will have a hard time even giving them away ,, a dealer here recently just told a story of having to throw them away because nobody would even give him 50 cents each in bulk

Film maker Jeff Krulik (Heavy Metal Parking Lot) made some kinda documentary about some perv in Washington DC with a huge porn collection.  I bet he would buy them. I'd try to find the title of the documentary for you and the guys name just not bored enough. Got laundry to do and have to wash the dog.

I always see that first issue of Playboy on Heritage. I guess that's the iconic one everyone would want. But they did reprint it. A while back I was curious about the covers and they aren't anything special. I found a guy on ebay selling vintage comic magazines once and they had some other erotic or pinup type magazines that had better covers than Playboy. The last time I saw a Playboy magazine the paper quality was surprisingly poor.

I think some of the old playboys have cool covers , you think they would be worth more but they are not☹️☹️

Same with that National Geographic with the famous cover of the Afghan girl with the green eyes. I couldn’t sell it for a dollar

The photographer Steve Mcqueary (or however you spell his last name) is making good money all the while pushing around his subject matter, including the Afghan girl with green eyes and using computers to take this out and put this in.  But that's "photojournalism" for ya - Drop into a place you never been, take some pictures of people suffering, go home and win some awards and sell the prints. Hell, that Brady guy (and his helpers - he was kinda the photographic equivalent of Bob Kane) in the civil war would drag dead bodies around to place them in a more "pleasing" scene.

It's a vexing issue, photography.

And yeah nobody wants those magazines. However, they were so well done nobody can part with them.

Somebody else on another thread asked this, so here is my same old story. A friend of my brother had the entire run of Playboy, the first twenty or so slabbed. He went through Heritage Auction.#1 went for close to $22000, and the other twenty or so netted around $50,000. Contact them.
