Newer staples on my AF 15
1 1

Hello, trying to school myself on the ways of CGC before submitting. My AF is complete, all pages intact and pretty nice, but one of the main issues is it looks like the staples have been replaced (along with tape on spine and right edge). Will this then be a restored, purple label?

It doesn't look like a restoration.  Probably you will get the blue label with a note saying tape on the page.

Thank you. Even though they are replaced, newer staples? I will submit regardless, but just trying to set the right expectation for myself.

If you're concerned, have them pre-screen it for restoration. Then you'll know beforehand for sure.

Good idea, thanks. I have of course purchased plenty of CGC comics but have never submitted any. I am quite literally a CGC submitter "newb".

Depending on the situation, based on CGC's website, this might get a Restored or even a Conserved label. Possibly even a Qualified?

Yeah... definitely pre-screen. This is the Marvel Holy Grail of books... you wanna know. :)

Please excuse my ignorance here...regardless of what they tell me if I prescreened the book, I would still want to submit anyways, right? Is the purpose of the prescreen just a "heads up" kind of thing?

In that case I would recommend that you skip the pre screen and just submit the book for grading since you want it graded regardless of the grade or designation.

Side note, I didn't know that you could pre screen just one book . Thot it required at least 25 books minimum.

Yes, plus if they pre-screen for restoration, they will tell you whether they can remove it.
