Dark Horse and Random House have officially pulled out.  Based on the way Warner Bros. is acting I'll be surprised if DC shows.  We just called it, but we're local, so no travel expenses to factor in.

UPDATE:  The Seattle Times is now reporting that DC Comics has pulled out.

That depends on whatever if ECCC decides to cancel the whole thing on account of Coronavirus ... lots of people had spent $$$ on tickets, booth reservations ,etc already and there is still 9 days left to go. I didn’t see ECCC headquarters mention anything in regards of this virus spreading in Seattle. Will they refund back all to us or will we lose out?

At the moment, my friend and I are still on the plans for one day only. I’m waiting for any new Announcement updates with ECCC.

Microsoft cancelled their summit in Seattle due to the corona virus.  Like you said, its different because a lot of money has been spent already.  Four of us are supposed to fly out on the 11th and come back the 15th.  Lots of planning and scheduling.  One of the best trips of the year in one of the best cities (in my opinion) so I really hope it goes as planned.

That is a month away for Microsoft with their event canceled. I saw the news recently.  And I have found one link about ECCC and the media guests and comic creators pulling out. Only a few pulled out, and yet said ECCC is still rolling on with the show.

Seattle has declared a civil emergency

which among other things allows for public events to be shut down

"As the death toll climbed Tuesday, Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan, a , proclaimed a civil emergency. The declaration allows her to bypass regulations to increase city spending, contracting and borrowing to address the growing public health threat. It will also allow her office to close facilities and cancel events to prevent the virus from spreading further."

In addition Travelers this convention season should be aware that both San Francisco and San Diego have declared a State of Emergency as well

hm Hmm ... well ... I’m on the fence in whatever if ECCC decides to cancel the show, or if one of media guests will cancel their appearances. One guest I really wanna get a signature is Michael J Fox. But knowing how he value his health... there’s a good chance he will cancel his appearance, given his age and such.

I only have one day ticket to lose ... so if it happens, I can’t blame anyone for this Coronavirus mass panic there. Our health come first...right?

If the show is still happening I'm still going to attend.  90% sure I'm going to skip Saturday and about 50/50 on going Friday, though.  Mostly just waiting for more information, I'm local so I don't need to commit to anything until the day.  If I lose the ticket price I lose the ticket price, there's always next year.

CGC just pulled out of the show...

CGC has decided not to attend the 2020 Emerald City Comic Con, which is being held in Seattle, Washington, March 12-15.

Washington state has been particularly impacted by the coronavirus. Senior CGC staff discussed the situation and made the decision out of an abundance of caution for the safety of its employees. CGC is disappointed that it will miss this show for the first time in over a decade, and regrets the impact its absence will have on collectors.

As of March 3, Emerald City Comic Con was still planning to proceed as scheduled. For the latest, please visit www.emeraldcitycomiccon.com.

For a full schedule of shows that CGC is attending, please check CGCcomics.com/events. The calendar will be updated as needed.

Reedpop is offering a refund to anyone not wishing to go due to the virus.  Looks like part of the conditions is returning badges that had been mailed out (makes sense).  I have not yet received my badges, has anyone else?

Note that the Seattle Times does sometimes use a paywall.

Wow a lot of vendors pulling out, major ones at that. Whats next? Not looking good. Glad they are offering refunds.

I haven't received my badges yet either though I haven't checked the mail today.

I am leaning towards throwing in the towel this year, I wonder how many vendors/creators/stars it will take before they cancel.

And here for just guests/artists

https://www.emeraldcitycomiccon.com/Guests/#/guests/headliners

use the "canceled" filter.

Scott Williams just posted he's out but it hasn't made the site yet.

Well if they don’t shut down the show I’ll see you all there.

If they do shut it down,  we ( Dealers) are planning a contingent show somewhere in the Seattle area.

                         Best Regards

Glad you're still making it, Terry! Wouldn't be the same without you. We should grab beers regardless :D
