I know. Simply meant your list based on your knowledge of what’s selling and for how much.

and again, I could be completely wrong...I am working from memory and quick math...but that's "about right"... your mileage may vary

I believe the order today (always changing of course) is

action 1

tec 27

superman 1

batman 1

action 7

marvel 1

whiz 2 (1)

tec 31

captain America 1

all American 16

flash 1

(not in top 10) all star 8 (pep 22 probably same range)

How much do you think equally presenting, complete, unrestored 1.0 copies in CGC universal holders would sell for? Roughly.

whiz 2 (1)...30k

tec 31...30k

captain America 1...25K

but too many variables to say for sure, this is just a guess based on 3.0's...entry level don't always correlate

Well.  Marvel Comics 1 cgc 1.0 sold for 53k at Heritage.  I would put it in at 50k-60k

Flash comics 1  0.5 restored mod ext missing back cover for 8.8k in recent comicconnect. A low eye appeal unrestored cgc 0.5 for 15k at Hakes

so 25k-30k for 1.0

Tough with single sales to know if they are an outlier or what.

A 1.5 marvel 1 has since sold for 45k, so it’s really impossible to assign a 1.0 value. They almost always will vary greatly!

True and a cap 1 in 1.0 sold privately three months ago for $50k. That 53k marvel 1 sale was an October copy too.

Using this scale ( which I think is a little lite on a few but overall very solid all the way around as the lower grade books seem very hard to nail down) what do you think the FMV on the same books CGC complete, coverless NG blue label would be??? Coverless has now become a real option for many trying to obtain these 10 ( who would have thought huh)

coverless generally seems to garner about 1/2...but no stead fast correlation

This is a really rough estimate without looking at GPA. Wide range due to the unpredictability of live auctions and the desirability for sharp, complete interiors with high PQ.

Action #1...............75-100K

Tec #27.................50-75K

Superman #1........20-30K

Batman #1............12-15K

Marvel #1.............10-15K

Cap #1.................10-13K

Whiz #2.................6-8K

Flash #1................6-8K

Action #7...............6-8K

Tec #31.................6-8K

AA #16..................6-8K

I think as an overall guide this is on, IMO Cap & Batman 1 right now might do better than 13-15K with nice PQ & the right auction/seller. Action 1 & Tec 27 really seem to the hardest to nail down as they seem to be in a different league, the Action may be the 1st to break the 100k at some point in the near future. Gator schooled me a few months ago when the AC1 on eBay hit in the mid-80s and having done some research he was dead on. I swore it was going to break 100k lol.

Thinking about price per point today. This is the last ten years of Action #1. What would a meaningful single number look like for this book, based on this data set and how could we calculate it for other books. Is the current state of the trendline meaningful? Or is there some other way we could shake out this data which would make comparisons across books more useful?

Hey Rick,

Any changes to this list since 2019, in your opinion/experience?

If you get a free moment, I’d love to see your 2020 estimations for blue label 1.0 FMVs.

Covid has altered market dynamics this year. Will revisit in 2021 if things get back to some semblance of previous normality

I sold my 1.5 for considerably more, but I would happily buy one at 45k too
