Oh no, Wanda lost her brother and a 2-year old fling!

How does that compare to the family and friends you had for hundreds of years...?

They're Norse gods. So no loss felt!

Because relativity and perception matter. Ragnarok is a part of who Asgardians are and they expect it. For them, death in battle is just a doorway to another plane of existence, glory in Valhalla. Thor also didn't lose everything as Asgard, the people not the place, still survives in a seaside town in Norway. As far as Thor's parents go, he received personal closure on both. With Odin, he got the father-sons chat on the cliff before Odin's time came. Not tragic. Thor then got closure with his mother in Endgame, putting a heartfelt humorous and emotional cap on her death.

And Wanda? She truly lost everything. Prior to WandaVision, she had nothing but emptiness. Parents murdered in war. Twin brother murdered. And no closure on either. Vision wasn't a 2 year fling. Linked by the Mind Stone, they were soul mates. She had to say good bye (in a sense) to Vision, the love of her life, three times. The first when she killed him herself with their minds linked. The second when Thanos essentially pulls Vision's heart out of his forehead in front of her. The third seeing him in pieces in a SWORD workshop. That was her closure.

In this case, the "quality" of the loss matters more than the "quantity."

In fact, Wanda's loss was so great that Marvel decided to make a Disney+ show about it.

Death is a part of life and humans expect it. Wanda also didn't lose everything as humankind, the people not the Earth, still survives. Wanda got personal closure when she had her little chat with Barton after the climax of Endgame.

See how this works? It's pure delusion to pretend that Wanda has experienced more loss than Thor.

"Vision wasn't a 2 year fling." Yes, he literally was a 2-year fling. Vision was as much "linked" to Wanda as Ultron, if you're going to make a weak argument like that.

After today’s episode there may be some disappointed comic specs

lol Yup... especially the guy that spent $42,000 on the second appearance of Mephisto in a 9.8.

Yes, I say tomato, you say potato.

I acknowledged that Thor has experienced more loss than Wanda. What I'm saying is there is a difference between Thor and Wanda in how they experience and perceive life and death.

In their MCU stories, there's also a difference in how the death of their loved ones came about. Thor didn't see his parents killed by a wartime missile as a child. Unlike Wanda, Thor got to say goodbye to both his parents in two touching scenes in Ragnarok and Endgame. With everyone else, death came in the heat of battle doing what Asgardians do as a warrior race.

Wanda's world wasn't the planet Earth and all of humanity. It was her small family. Her parents, her twin brother, and her soulmate. All taken from her with no closure. Apparently Wanda's lakeside chat with Barton wasn't the closure she needed.

**SPOILER ALERT** Wanda standing in the middle of a vacant lot with a land deed gifted to her by Vision after she's lost everything is pretty tragic. Thor still had Asgard. Wanda had a vacant lot.

As of today, Wanda still gets the award for Most Tragic Avenger on my voting card.

P.S. Of course, this could change if Wanda does get Vision back near 100% as well as her children and gets to live happily ever after Doctor Strange 2.
