This may be off by a quarter but here it is:

IM 55 $4.50

IH 181 $35.00

ASM 129 $2.50

Avengers 57 $15.00

Thor 165 -166 $10.00 ($5 each)

Hulk 102 $15.00

DD 168 $2.50

FF 112 $6.00

Defenders 28 $2.75

X-men 52 $3.50

Don't worry about the quarter, you get a $15 discount in the bottom left corner!

I get 96.75, plus the 2.50 for ASM 129 comes to 99.25. Might as well spend that .75 on a copy of Hulk 271

The ASM #129 was already included.  I would also add an ASM 194 for $1.

Because I like making things difficult...

Sounds like your $100 actually stretches out to $115 to me... but you still gotta subtract $1.50 shipping (unless you are outside the US) and the part about taxes is cut off.  Don't forget that you need to snail mail a check or money order to the dealer... what was the price of a stamp in 1982?

In the year 1982, American postage stamps cost $0.20. This is equivalent to $0.53 in 2019 dollars.

How was Dazzler 1 limited distribution? One million copies shipped to comic shops was limited??

Limited to specialty shops. No newsstand distribution.

The Schwarzenegger movie gave them a boost too

As a Conan fan boy did I hate that movie.  Yeah Conan stays a slave for 10 years.  Anyone read Conan?  He never stayed a slave long before he snapped his chains and busted an oar over overseer head-  Sure thing Conan just passively pushed a wheel round and round moping for 10 years-

Only about a third of the outlets selling Marvel Comics received this book.  If you squint just right, this might qualify as limited distribution.

Yep I remember when Conan was big money-boy that sure tanked.

I remember saving money from my paper route for weeks as a young kid to get my first expensive comic.  Chose a Conan 1..... yeah.... wise investment. Still have it.  The guy, who was the main comic dealer here at the time, would put the price in pencil on the top of the back cover.  Spend $48 at the time... I also remember that Dazzler 1 coming out around then... my first speculation... bought 5! :tonofbricks:

Early lessons of comic collecting...
