$10 box and under Golden age finds! 3 3

I figured starting a dollar box finds for Gold wouldn't get much response..Sooooo....share your golden age books pulled from boxes that were $10 or less.

You get a gold star if it was from a legit dollar box. 

I know some of you geezers had to have gotten some decent books back in the day for a dollar, so if you remember, please post the approximate date too. 

Got this Archie 1 coverless out of a dollar box a couple of weeks ago.

Almost every comic I own I bought for under ten dollars, mostly a dollar or less. Since I have the box out with these in it right in front of me, here's my Archie 24 and Millie the Model 5 I got for a buck a piece at a antique shop in 1990. I also bought a stack of Yank magazines at the same time for like a 50 cents a piece.

I paid $12 for this from a box in a country town antique store, but since it was Australian dollars it gets under the threshold at around US$8.40.

Guess I'll start with the "A" titles.  These were bought at Cherokee Bookstore on Hollywood Blvd in 1973.  You'd go to the back counter, and ask for their box of old comic books.  No bags, no boards, two bucks each.

I remember that $2. box at Cherokee very well. There were several.

I picked this up for $1 at my first Seuling Comic Con in New York in 1973. It's still one of my favorites.

Since eBay is just a big, usually overpriced, comic convention I'll include this which was less than $10 and was actually free by using eBay bucks!
