Looks good. I would honestly be happier with MCU bringing out streaming series instead of the films. I think more actors would get behind the idea due to the changing landscape of the market.

And the difference in pay scales and filming burden making it more enticing for actors.

Why More and More Movie Stars Are Heading to TV

Quote

Budget

The production value and scope of television continues to peak. Spending is up virtually across the board, especially in the streaming industry. Netflix will bump its content budget from $6 billion this year to as high as $8 billion in 2018. Amazon is estimated to have invested $4.5 billion in content this year and Apple is budgeting $1 billion for its entry into the original content arena. HBO dropped $100 million on the first season of Westworld and the final season of Game of Thrones is said to cost north of $15 million per episode ($10 million per episode is considered very expensive in TV). Bigger budgets usually means better looking television and a willingness to spend whatever it takes to win George Steinbrenner-style.

It also means fatter paychecks for movie stars working an easier schedule than the grueling Hollywood blockbuster grind. Robert De Niro was set to be the highest-paid actor on a drama series in television with a $775,00 per episode salary before he exited David O. Russell’s Amazon series due to the Harvey Weinstein scandal. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson pulls in $650,000 per episode for Ballers while Spacey and Claire Danes are sitting pretty at $500,000 and $450,000 per episode for House of Cards and Homeland, respectively.

I like the look of this one more than Wandavision and F&TWS. I’m still a sucker for wanting to see them all even if I find some of the episodes a bit ‘meh’, but with Loki it looks to have a good vibe about it with some great leads in Hiddleston and Wilson. Looking forward to it!

TV has been gaining popularity for a while now. Unless they bring back drive through theaters, I'll probably stick to streaming.

The pandemic brought out some very interesting studio-theater details never realized before now concerning contract language where a release of a film can only have a percentage of drive-in theater within range of walk-in theaters.

So it feels like major theater chains covered their bases in the old days concerning such venues. Though that doesn't mean studios couldn't brute-force their way around this if they had to survive.

Laws are always being changed to accommodate the times, so I could see it happening if theater chains have no better option.

Marvel will reveal a new look at Loki during the NBA Special Edition Presented by State Farm: Marvel's Arena of Heroes airing Monday on ESPN. The special telecast, which tells an all-new Avengers story during the match-up between the Golden State Warriors and the New Orleans Pelicans, will feature an interview with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star Anthony Mackie about becoming Captain America as well as the exclusive sneak peek look at Loki. Spinning out of Avengers: Endgame, the Marvel Studios original series coming to Disney+ sees the God of Mischief (Tom Hiddleston), labeled a "variant" by the Time Variance Authority, work to stop an even greater threat or face deletion from reality.

The Loki Special Look will air during halftime when the Avengers assemble for tonight's broadcast, starting at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes. The broadcast features an original Marvel storyline and appearances from characters like Captain America, Black Panther, Iron Man, and Black Widow with 3D virtual characters, custom graphics, animation packages, and more.

"Marvel and ESPN have brought the worlds of sports and Super Heroes together for years through comics, documentaries and other stories celebrating athletes and their extraordinary abilities," said Mike Pasciullo, vice president, marketing and communications, Marvel Entertainment. "The new Marvel’s Arena of Heroes telecast will be the first of its kind to bring Marvel’s storytelling directly to the real-time experience of a NBA game, and we are excited for fans to be able to watch their favorite players through the lens of Marvel’s mightiest heroes."

Marvel fans can expect to see many different sides of Tom Hiddleston's Loki in the upcoming Marvel Studios series on Disney+. Some new merchandise offers new looks at a couple of those sides, including Loki with political aspirations. The new images come from product listings for life-sized Loki standees listed on Mamegyorai. One shows Loki as he appears while working for the Time Variance Authority. The other shows the god of mischief in his "Vote Loki" look, horns on while wearing a suit with a prominent campaign button pinned to it.

Here's the description from the product pages (run through Google translate): "Loki disappeared with a four-dimensional cube in Avengers: Endgame. Where did he go ... It was 'my home.'

"Featured drama Loki to be delivered on Disney + on June 9th. Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, has been added to the 'Stand Up Panel' series developed by Advanced Graphics! A stand-up used for promotion of movies and events both in Japan and overseas. It's a simple panel that is printed in about life size, so it's a reasonable price as a type that can be used in the interior! Why don't you make a room in a space where you can spend time with Loki?"
