Yes, this article says Daniel Craig is still Bond. Also, this thread there were multiple people saying it would not happen.

Anything can happen in these TV shows and movies. 'Never' probably should be a word to avoid with these productions over time.

Still haven't seen SPECTRE yet. Kind of lost in interest when Daniel Craig said he wanted to quit being Bond.

lol.

The new James Bond movie with the new twist  seems like something I will check out. Check out before I see SPECTRE.

You didn't miss anything with SPECTRE. It was bad-Roger-Moore-level bad.

*Especially* after how great Skyfall was.

But that teaser trailer did bring the excitement beforehand.

Such a shame.

I agree with your first statement at least.

Spectre was awful. Two leads with Zero chemistry, Waltz was an awful Blofeld, Batista was wasted except for a pretty decent Bourne fight on a train.

Watch the first sequence in Mexico which was excellent, as soon as Sam Smith starts whining over the title sequence turn the damn thing off!

Well...Suicide Squad had a great trailer too...

But when Buzz posted that first Spectre trailer, man did that get me excited to see a fantastic Bond film. I wish they had pushed the production as much as they did with the trailer.

Casino Royale was the only good Daniel Craig Bond film.

False.

Casino Royale was a great film, but Skyfall was easily a Top 5 Bond film, and probably top 3.

It's arguably the best one since OHMSS -- and that's including the parts of the finale that ripped off Home Alone.

The *only* thing that would have made it appreciably better is if Kinkade had been played by Sean Connery.

Didn't see the entire thing (only segments on TV) since Quantum of Solace was butt-:censored: worthless.

If I see it on again, I'll give it a try. QoS kinda ruined my entire interest in the Bond franchise. I couldn't believe how bad it was.

Ahh...that's understandable.

Quantum of Solace is one of the *worst* of the franchise -- it was an abomination.

But Skyfall is incredible for a number of reasons -- with vague/minor spoilers

  • Great director (Sam Mendes)
  • Great cinematography (Oscar-nominated)
  • Great villain (best since 006 in Goldeneye)
  • Moneypenny in the field (!)
  • M in the field (!)
  • Mallory in the field
  • Great opening song (for which Adele won an Oscar)
  • Return of the Goldfinger car
  • Arguable *origin* of Bond

To each their own of course, but I thought every single Craig film was excellent. Spectre was one of my favorites.

Skyfall was great as well.

Quantum of Solace was mediocre at best.

A hit or miss with these Daniel Craig Bonds.

Also I have never seen a actor age like Daniel Craig has in these Bond pictures. Does he have a undisclosed illness?

They do need a new younger Bond now.

Not fair, but that`s reality in Hollywood.

:insane:

Skyfall is awful.

We are both huge Bond fans but its strange how far apart we are in regards to this mess of a movie.

As you say, each to their own opinion but I've watched Skyfall three times (once in the cinema) and I... Just... don't... get... it. I don't understand why it made a billion, I don't understand why people love it so much.

The story is full of conveniences and plot holes you can drive a truck through.

You said Spectre was one of the worst, but to me Skyfall is not that much different.

@delekkerste HELP!

I'll give my opinion on your points just for fun.

- Great Director (Sam Mendes) - I've only seen American Beauty & Road to Perdition, both are great films but was he cut out for Bond? At the time I didn't think so and after watching the movie I still didn't think so.

- Great cinematography - No arguments here.

- Great villain (best since 006) - Yeah, I don't see it. He had his little gimmick face collapse thing, but other than that, pretty damn forgettable.

- Moneypenny in the field... who effed the whole thing up!

- M in the field... never liked Judi Dench in the role, I never understood why she was brought over from the Brosnan films when this was a complete reboot.

- Great Opening Song.... I really don't like Adele and I really didn't like this song one bit.

- Return of the Goldfinger car.... Yeah ok, a bit of a nostalgia nod but it that's it.

- Arguable origin of Bond.... I never liked origins, they never produce in my opinion and this really isn't a selling point especially as the movie devolves into Home Alone
So none of those points a great film makes in my opinion.

And my god the product placement alone was so annoying.
