Hey everyone, I need some advice, I'm new to Trading slabs and I got a trade offer from someone locally and was wondering what you all thought. The Trade would be my Strange Adventures #205 (First DeadMan graded at a 4.5 for a Silver Surfer #3 2.5 and an Uncanny X-Men #266 9.4 I'm tempted to make the trade because Gambit is one of my favorite X-Men Characters, I'm just wondering if it seems like i'm getting ripped off or not?

 

Any advice would be helpful! Here are photos of the books.

Hi Josh,

I'm new to collecting comics but if was me I would try and find out the value of each of your slabs first then try and find out the value for what you want to trade for then go from there.

According to gocollect’s website, FMV for X-Men #266 (CGC 9.4) is $160 and Silver Surfer #3 (CGC 2.5) is $110. Your Strange Adventures #205 is “valued” at $210. 

However, if you’re solely after Gambit’s first full appearance, you should be able to find a CGC 9.6 for under $200.

Go with what you would value the most.
