I certainly miss cover blurbs!  I know they covered some of the artwork, but I think the art was also more dynamic on the covers from those eras than the portraiture covers of the modern era.  So, modern cover blurbs:

Now more social justice than you can see on the web!

Part one of a brand new 'written for the trade' epic!

If you can afford only one comic this month, make it thi$ one!

Now more decompression than ever!

The first new #1 issue in twelve months!

We all have our crossovers to bear!

I'd go retro, Silver Age, on that one...

'Non-stop, senses-shattering decompression !!!'

Although, as the dragging out tends to be extremely tedious, that might be interpreted as false advertising, and...

'Non-stop, coma-inducing decompression' might be preferred by some as a non-ironic alternative.
