And what may be my favorite page, Justice League 21, page 2, the first appearance of the JSA in the title, the first silver age appearance of Dr. Fate and Hourman, and the beginning of Crisis.

Man, the keeping it to 3 is tough!

My Al Williamson ERB portfolio plate for sure. This, I think, is the coolest piece of original art that I own. Not only was I interested in a piece of Al Williamson Sci-Fi art, but this specific page was one my list of AW pages that I'd like to own. Really, really admired it the first time I ever saw it on the back dust cover of Al Williamson Adventures... if you haven't read it, go find a copy. Great compilation of some of his best IMO pulp work.

Second, I'm going to put my 3 consecutive Walking Dead Pages from issue 48. They are the Death of Hershel, and our confirmation that Judith was killed with Lori. They are the first pages of art that I ever bought. I picked them up together back in 2010 or 11 from Charlie Adlard's rep. (splashpage.com). Walking Dead is just one of my all-time favorite comic series. I can still remember how happy I was when they announced the tv show.

Finally, I'm going to put my Wrightson splash from House of Mystery 188 story titled: House of Madness. Bernie, like Al, is in my Mt Rushmore of comic book artists. And I really love this example of his work. It's a super cool early page from 1970, and from his long running association with House of Mystery. Only way it could get any better for me is if it were from his Warren Mag / independents, or Swamp Thing.

... actually I'm glad we didnt go beyond 3... that making the choices for 4 and 5 would have been brutally grueling.
