My slightly unscientific method of determining which bids came in before 9pm and which came after was to do a refresh of the last page of the thread at exactly 9:05 by the clock on my computer which syncs with a time server on the Internet and accept only bids which the board software said came in five minutes ago or more at that point.  That would put the bid cutoff at or before @comicsyte95 's bid of $95 on the TOS 52.  If I'm correct looking back through the posts to the thread prior to that, the winners are @Unstoppablejayd  for Lot 1 at $57.51 and @Flee-Marquette for Lot 2 at $105.  Thanks, guys!  If anyone has any ideas for improving on this system for next, and there WILL be a next time, please let me know.

Great suggestion... next time, at close of auction, I'll post to the thread when time's up and only bids prior to my post will be considered valid.  Why didn't I think of that?

Because you wanted probation?  :D

Actually, Mike, it turns out that you can mouse over the "posted 20 minutes ago" text and get the exact time of the post.  Ten years on the board and I never knew that.  Always learning.  And, by the way, where were you tonight when the bidding came down to the wire on those very excellent books?  :baiting:

Got 'em both in way higher grade! :D

It was actually a joke about the lame-@ssedness of the current probation thread. Are you following that?

Tec 131 PR  $25  SOLD cover completely detached and ships in two separate pieces, otherwise complete with cream pq

A book whose best days are in the rear view mirror, and an attached cover is only a distant but pleasant memory.  There are, however, certain advantages to owning such a book which are often overlooked, namely, you can enjoy reading the book while also gazing warmly at the cover and bear in mind that you can inspect both the front and back covers simultaneously without unduly stressing the spine or interior pages.  Well loved but a pleasure to own.

A run of 12 Savage Sword of Conan, issues 121 - 132 starting with Feb 1986.

These were bagged and boarded the day they came from the distributor in 1986 and haven't seen air or light since, over 30 years.  Grades are N/M - N/M+ (except for 129 and 132 which each came with slight chips out of the upper right corner as shown) and the pages are as dazzling white as newly fallen Cimmerian snow.

The price for the lot is $65  $45 shipped.   SOLD

Jim, these are the nicest magazines I've owned since I started collecting a few here and there. Stunning white interiors!
